Front Office Manager (Instructor I: 32 - 38 hours per week)

Who are you?
You are passionate about your profession. With extensive experience in the hospitality industry, you want to transfer your knowledge to our students at the Hotelschool of MBO Amersfoort. You cooperate and love to give guests a fantastic experience. Individual guests or groups? No problem for you! You get energy from seeing your students grow in the skills needed to run the hotel's reception desk and keep the hotel spotlessly clean. You have an eye for detail and for the professional attitude of your students. For that you bring:

  • Extensive work experience in front office and housekeeping, preferably in a hotel;
  • A MBO4 education in the field of hospitality | front office | housekeeping | facility services or similar;
  • Experience in coaching and managing;
  • Excellent communication in both Dutch and English;
  • Flexibility to switch between guests and students.

What will you do?You will be responsible for our front office and housekeeping team. You manage and collaborate with the team. You come up with proposals for improvement and show entrepreneurship. Within an informal atmosphere you will continuously contribute to the success of your departments. Together with your fellow instructors III and II and the students you will provide a hospitable, clean and pleasant environment for our guests, transferring your knowledge, experience and love for the profession. Working hours will be in alternating shifts both weekdays and weekends.

Some of the work:

  • Contribute to student supervision, by collaboratively performing and supervising the tasks that are part of the front office and housekeeping in Leerhotel Het Klooster
  • Functionally manage colleagues both departments
  • Monitor quality in the departments
  • Responsible for the purchasing and sales process of the departments
  • Preparation and follow-up of operational work.
  • In the absence of students, you will be working operationally yourself
  • Independently develop assignments as part of the curriculum
